Location
The district of Ruppertshain, which belongs to Kelkheim, lies 365 m above sea level in the High Taunus Mountains and is therefore one of the highest places on the southern side of the Taunus mountains facing Frankfurt. Ruppertshain borders in the west on the Kelkheim district of Eppenhain, in the south on Kelkheim-Fischbach, in the east on Königstein in the Taunus and in the north on Schloßborn (municipality of Glashütten). Located in the green Vordertaunus, one of the preferred residential areas in the Rhine-Main area. Four bus lines connect Ruppertshain with all other Kelkheim districts, the town of Liederbach, the town of Königstein, the community of Glashütten, the community of Schmitten and the Main-Taunus-Zentrum in Sulzbach. Via Kelkheim or the neighbouring towns of Königstein and Eppstein there are excellent connections to Frankfurt city centre and the airport, both by car and by train. Via Eppstein you can quickly reach the Autobahn 3 (A3). Excellent restaurants like the Merlin im Zauberberg or the Schlosshotel Rettershof are within walking distance. There are plenty of outdoor sports and leisure facilities. Directly in the village there is also an excellent traditional bakery in the family business, a small post office and a so-called financial point of the Sparkasse and Volksbank.
