Las Torres de Santa Cruz are a residential complex made up of two twin towers located in the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain). They were designed by the Tenerife architect Julián Valladares in the period 2004-2006.
They reach 120 meters in height, without counting the lightning rod, becoming the tallest skyscraper in the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands, they were also the tallest residential building in Spain between 2004 and 2010, currently occupying sixth place in this category. The towers are currently one of the most identifiable symbols of the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and are considered, together with the nearby Auditorio de Tenerife, as one of the best emblems of the economic development of the Canary Islands. The towers are located in the current expansion area (Cabo-Llanos) of the island capital, also called the Golden Mile of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in a block circumscribed by Avenida Manuel Hermoso Rojas and the streets of Celia Cruz, Adán Martin Menis (old Fuente de Santa Cruz street), and Los Llanos Seis.
This area of the city is currently immersed in a major construction boom that has been dubbed 'Manhattanization' due to the presence of tall buildings and the layout of the streets that imitates that of American cities. It is located next to the coast, just 600 meters from the city center. It has several public squares: Plza. of San Telmo, plaza. of General Gutiérrez Mellado and plza. from Europe, as well as several banks, shops and restaurants (El Corte Inglés is a 4-minute walk away and the Strasse Fuji restaurant is right on the ground floor of De la Torre II)
