Stunning modern Villa, located centrally yet very private. Unrivalled views of the country side and sea. Beautifully maintained garden, with large outdoor living/dining area, infinity pool and jacuzzi overlooking the view. Stylishly decorated, all modern amenities, open plan design, large terrace. Caretaker/housekeeper. All bedrooms with en-suite. The villa is modern and light, extremely comfortable, and very open plan with outstanding views all around. There is a large terrace on the first floor to enjoy morning coffee and early evening glass of wine watching the boats sail by in the distance. All bathrooms are en-suite, and one contains a sauna. There is a barbecue by the pool and the caretaker will be very happy to show you how to use it, or indeed for a small fee, can organise a barbecue evening for you and cook. There is a large garage for up to two cars, plus some outdoor parking.


Guest Access

Guests have access to all parts of the villa apart from one of the garages, and the walk-in cupboard in one of the bedrooms (there is hanging space and shelves within the bedroom for you).


Interaction with Guests

The housekeeper (who speaks good English), and her husband, are in charge of running the villa. They live 5 minutes away in the village, and will always be available to help. The caretaker/gardener, comes to the villa from Monday to Friday in the mornings. He completely looks after the garden, the pool, and is also on hand for any maintenance work should it be required. In the summer months he also comes by in the evening as the watering of plants can only be done whilst it's shady. In the summer months (or whenever the pool is in use) he will also take care of setting up the pool area with cushions etc. and ensure it is kept clean. The housekeeper and knows where everything is, and how everything operates in the villa. She prepares the house before each rental, ensuring all is wonderfully clean and tidy for you. She is generally available and willing to come in for a few hours most days to help you with the cleaning/ laundry/ ironing/ and babysitting should you so wish. Arrangements for times will need to be made with her, and you will need to pay her directly. Her rate is 9 euros per hour. The Neighbourhood

The local village (Gharghur) is 5 minutes walk away, with good food shopping, a pharmacy, post office, hair dresser, beauty salon, newsagent, and artisanal bakery. At the bottom of our valley, visible from the house, there are some lovely bays with easy sunbathing and swimming access on the white limestone rocks. Maltas main sandy beaches are all located on the north-eastern side of the island - which is where you are. All are within 20 minutes drive from the villa. The villa is an oasis and one feels totally cut off from the hustle and bustle from everyday life. However, the location is still very central, and a mere 10-15 minutes drive from St Julians and Sliema where all the restaurants, cinemas, clubs etc. are to be found. Valetta (our beautiful capital city) is no more than 30 minutes away (unless the traffic is really really bad). Of course this is all part of the wonderful island that is Malta with its centuries of diverse history and cultures.


Included in the rental price is normal electricity consumption which is equivalent to 250 euros per week. A reading will be taken of the electricity meter on your arrival and departure and I reserve the possibility to charge you for any above-average use of electricity. Electricity in Malta is very expensive and therefore responsible use of electrical utilities, primarily the air conditioning during the hot months, is advised. Any sum for electrical consumption over 250 euros a week will be charged to you directly and paid in or by immediate electronic bank transfer (my housekeeper has the details). Or the amount can be deducted from the security deposit.

House Rules

This is my home and I therefore expect it to be treated with care and respect. Specifically there is no smoking indoors, no wet clothes or towels to used indoors - the pool area is setup for this. All appliances are of a high standard and should be used responsibly. Children must be supervised at all times in the garden and pool area to avoid accidents or damage to themselves or the property. Please ensure that paints, crayons, markers, etc are not used carelessly – so as not to stain or damage walls or furnishings (this request is based on past experience!).
