Beautiful mansion built in the late 1800s set in three different ancient streets, long uninhabited and to be recovered to modern functions, but with the advantage of having been preserved without tampering or restorations that have distorted the historical authenticity. Located in the heart of the historic center of Galatina, a sophisticated city of Salento, it has a covered area of about 645 square meters and spreads on two floors. The ground floor covers an area of about 345 square meters, and in addition to the classic hall of entry, it features 10 rooms with vaulted or barrel vaults, divided into 4 small apartments, one of them with access from the side Via Orfanotrofio, the other three with accesses from the rear Via Arcudi. The first "noble" floor, about 300 square meters wide, is a glimpse of the typical perfect wall decorations of the time, from the lower levels of the walls, to frescoes, still in good condition. It consists of 11 rooms, one of which housed the church, two terraces, pantries and countless "cabinets", typically made in the mighty walls, which in some cases reach about a 90 cm thickness. The wood stove and an angular oven retain the original majolica molded with stone. Floors are mostly in original wrought, and in some rooms they consist of early 1900 cement tiles. A delicious space is also the one of flat roofs, connected by stone ladders in the different levels, and inserted in a context of ancient roofs, chimneys and steeples. To be signalled the presence of a chicken coop, a large room with a gabled roof and a small adjacent room for the night shelter. The entire structure, while still in excellent condition and with fixtures in perfect working order, requires numerous routine maintenance, the reconstruction of all facilities and a restoration that can preserve the beautiful paintings and floors and in general its original features. Building free of energy assessment. In order to reconstitute the original ground floor of the building, you can buy separately a part of the building of about 150 square meters, completely renovated.
