The almost 40 square meter apartment is located on the garden side in the lowest level of the building. It consists of a combined living room/bedroom, a friendly indoor bathroom with a shower and bath and a small fully equipped kitchen with a dining area. The windows of the apartment overlook the garden and a few steps lead to the red-brick terrace. Here you sit in the shade of the red columns of the back balconies and enjoy the morning sun at breakfast, from here you have a beautiful view of the garden of the former Spanish embassy. You can use the terrace alone.
The apartment is perfect for 1 person, as a place to sleep is a comfortable double bed available (lying area 160 x 200 cm) which allows to sleep in with two person. A desk by the window offers space to work, a small cozy seating group invites you to read. Also in this apartment is - as in all apartments - a direct and fast connection to the Internet (LAN and W-LAN / WiFi, free, subject to availability).
The kitchen is fully equipped for four people, including oven, stove, dishwasher, and a fridge freezer. The kitchen is not directly accessible from the apartment, but over the small entrance hall, from which still another room goes off, which is currently used as a one-person office and not rented. The hallway is shared.
The access to the apartment is in the beautiful protected courtyard of the house, which can be reached via a gate. Once used by carriages, this passage to the street is secured by a wrought-iron grille. The building is also decorated with stucco on the back so that even in the inner courtyard there is a corresponding atmosphere of the Wilhelminian era. Here you can park safely and covered bicycles.
Location
The apartment is centrally located in the south of Bonn at the botanical garden and the Poppelsdorfer Schloss. The Südstadt is the most sought-after district in Bonn. Centrally located near the city centre, it is nevertheless very quiet, and in summer it is cool in the tree-lined streets. There are lively shopping areas and quiet residential streets, almost all houses have beautiful stuccoed facades. There are restaurants, cafés, bakeries, several supermarkets, doctors and all shops of daily life. Everything is within walking distance. The Poppelsdorfer Castle as well as the botanical garden of the university and the nearby forest on the Venusberg complete the picture.
The location of the house in the Südstadt is perfect: It takes about ten minutes to walk to the main station and the city centre. The university ("Campus Poppelsdorf") is in the immediate vicinity, and numerous scientific institutes as well as many university facilities and faculties can be reached on foot. And in the evening you can enjoy your cappuchino in one of the many street cafés.
