The historic town of Tomar, which is home to the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo, is approximately 10 minutes drive from the cottage. Tomar is a popular and bustling town with a variety of supermarkets, health centres, hospital, schools, university, banks, pharmacies, builders’ merchants, sports centres, bars, restaurants and cafes.
